A shout-out to all the developers who’ve ever listened to a designer say, “If I knew how many X did Y, then I would know how to design this…” and answered, “Oh, hey, I can get that for you.”
Good design requires good metrics. Good metrics way too frequently require developers to use their minimal free time to write queries, run them on databases, and correlate the data.
